Ashley Koch, PT, DPT
Ashley Koch grew up just over the river in Sulphur, Louisiana. She moved away in 2005 to attend Louisiana Tech University, where she majored in Applied Biology. She graduated from Tech in 2008, and began physical therapy school three days later at Louisiana State University – Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She graduated from LSU-HSC in May of 2011 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Ashley began her career as a physical therapist in Shreveport, Louisiana. She worked in the inpatient rehab setting as well as private outpatient setting. While in the private outpatient setting, Ashley focused primarily on treating the pediatric population.
Ashley met her husband Matt in Shreveport and they were married in 2013. They welcomed their first child, Joseph, in August of 2015, then very soon after moved to south Louisiana. Ashley joined the Hope Therapy Center team following maternity leave in November of 2015.
Among Ashley’s most recent continuing education are “Water-Based Interventions for the Pediatric Therapist,” “Hands-on Aquatic Therapy Polyclinic for the Ortho and Neuro Client,” “Evidence-Based Aquatic Therapy for the Pediatric Client: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Progressions for Age-Related Disorders,” “LSVT BIG,” and “Pediatric Myofascial Release.”
When not working, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, reading, crafting, and spending time outdoors.
