I grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Fitness and Human Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduating with my bachelor’s, I went on to earn my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida.

During my doctoral studies, my research focused on the care and treatment of medically complex infants and children. I have experience working in Pediatric Prescribed Extended Care (PPEC) settings and in inpatient rehabilitation in Houston, Texas, where I provided occupational therapy services to patients with a range of complex medical and developmental needs.

One of the biggest challenges I hope to help patients overcome is the loss of independence. Whether it’s a child learning new skills or an adult recovering from an injury or illness, my goal is to help each patient gain the confidence and abilities needed to participate more fully in their daily lives.

I am an Occupational Therapist who works with both children and adults!

Outside the Clinic

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time on the water, whether that’s boating, relaxing by the lake, or enjoying a day at the beach. I also love traveling and exploring new places, as well as spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends.

Karleigh has been amazing. OT is always fun and witty with her. She’s helped so much in the management of numbness and tingling down my arm that it’s almost none existent. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
