Karleigh Nunez
Karleigh grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana. She studied kinesiology at Southeastern Louisiana University, then earned her OTD from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where her doctoral research focused on medically complex infants and children. She has worked in a PPEC setting and in inpatient rehab in Houston, and at Hope Therapy Center she carries both pediatric and adult caseloads. That range means she is as comfortable helping a toddler build the grip and coordination to feed herself as she is helping an adult get dressed independently again after an injury.

What guides the work.
Kindness, authenticity and dedication are the three things Karleigh holds herself to. She will not pretend a hard week was an easy one, and she will not hand a family a plan she does not believe in. What she offers instead is genuine attention, a clear explanation of what she is working on and why, and the willingness to stay with a goal until it is met.
Off the clock.
Life beyond the treatment table.
Outside the clinic, Karleigh is usually near the water. Boating, the lake and the beach are her reset, and the rest of her time off goes to traveling and to family.
