Sarah Eccles

MS, CF-SLP · Speech Pathologist

Sarah Eccles is a speech-language pathologist at Hope Therapy Center, practicing as a clinical fellow. That is what the CF in CF-SLP means: she has finished her master's degree and is completing the supervised fellowship year that leads to full certification, so she carries her own caseload and does the clinical work while a certified speech-language pathologist formally mentors and reviews it. Her work covers evaluation and treatment of speech, language, swallowing and feeding, including infant and pediatric feeding, which is one of this clinic's core programs.

Patient Review
Had the best experience with Sarah and couldn't be more grateful. Our baby girl can take bottles without hurting and is all healed and happy!

How Care Works

What a first visit involves.

Bring the problem the way you actually experience it: the bottle that turns into a fight, the latch that hurts, the words that are not coming, the food a child will not accept, the swallow that does not feel safe. Sarah evaluates before she treats, which for feeding means watching a real feed rather than working from a checklist, then telling you what she saw and what she would change. Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes, one on one, and much of the work is coaching you so the change carries into the next feed or the next conversation at home. Most families attend two to three visits a week, and many notice a difference within the first few weeks. Because she is a clinical fellow, her evaluations and plans are reviewed with a certified speech-language pathologist, so there are two sets of eyes on your case. The front office verifies your specific benefits, deductible and visit limits before your first appointment.
