Taylor Dunn
Taylor was born and raised in Sulphur, Louisiana. She finished her bachelor's degree at Louisiana Tech in 2021, earned her master's from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2023, and joined Hope Therapy Center that same year. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in Louisiana, and her continuing education has gone into the Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding, moving nonverbal children toward verbal communication in autism and apraxia, and orofacial myology. Those are the cases she cares most about: the child who has the words in there somewhere, and the family waiting to hear them.
Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
What guides the work.
Hard work, loyalty, compassion and perseverance are the values Taylor names, and perseverance is the one that shows most in speech and feeding therapy. Progress here can be slow for weeks and then arrive all at once. She keeps sessions consistent and expectations honest, so families know exactly what they are watching for and can recognize it the moment it happens.
Off the clock.
Life beyond the treatment table.
Away from the clinic, Taylor is at pilates, at her sewing machine, out shopping, or sitting somewhere quiet outdoors. Pilates and sewing are the two she makes real time for.
