Taylor Dunn
Speech Therapist
I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist at Hope Therapy Center since 2023. Since joining the team, I have completed continuing education in the Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding, supporting nonverbal to verbal communication in children with autism and apraxia, and orofacial myology. These specialized trainings have expanded my knowledge and allow me to provide evidence-based, individualized care to my patients. I also maintain my ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and Louisiana state licensure through ongoing continuing education.
Conditions Taylor Enjoys Treating
One thing I see patients and families often struggle with is feeling overwhelmed by the therapy process—especially when progress feels slow or when expectations aren’t clearly understood. Many patients also deal with frustration when communication challenges limit their ability to express themselves, which can impact confidence and participation in daily life.
I would like to help make the process feel more manageable and transparent by focusing on clear goals, realistic expectations, and celebrating small, meaningful gains along the way. My goal is to help patients feel understood, supported, and empowered in their communication journey, rather than discouraged by it.
I enjoy therapy that is meaningful, individualized, and focused on real-life carryover.
Why Taylor Loves Working at Hope Therapy Center
What I enjoy most about working at Hope Therapy Center is the collaborative, supportive environment and the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, and SLPs who all share the same goal of improving patient outcomes. I appreciate the variety of patients I get to work with across the lifespan, which allows me to continue growing clinically and apply different approaches based on individual needs. I also value the emphasis on functional, patient-centered care and the ability to build meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping them reach their communication goals.
Core Values:
My core values are hard work, loyalty, compassion, and perseverance. I believe that nothing worthwhile is handed to you, so I take pride in working hard for the things I want to accomplish. I value building genuine, lasting relationships and strive to love and support the people around me wholeheartedly. I’m deeply loyal to my family, friends, colleagues, and patients, and I’m passionate about helping others reach their fullest potential. I try to approach both my personal and professional life with integrity, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

Outside the Clinic
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and prioritizing activities that help me recharge and maintain balance. I enjoy staying active through pilates, expressing creativity through sewing, and unwinding with shopping and other leisure activities. I also value quiet downtime and time outdoors when possible.
Her therapist, Taylor, is nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, she made Ella feel right at home. She has such a genuine, patient, and caring way about her that made all the difference. You can truly tell she loves what she does and pours her heart into every child she works with.
Watching Ella grow—not just in her speech, but in her confidence and personality—has been so special. We owe so much to Hope Therapy, Taylor, and the entire staff. We are beyond grateful for the love, support, and dedication they’ve shown our little girl. They truly make a lasting impact, and we couldn’t recommend them enough.”
